Nothing is better than the farmer's market on a cool Saturday morning. Strolling the stands to browse freshly harvested produce and chat with growers is always a highlight of this weekend ritual. Freshly baked bread, hand-churned goat cheese, vine-ripened tomatoes, and freshly picked sweet corn, added to the standard bacon and eggs, complete a dish inspired by our friends at the market. Seasoned with Calicutts Everything, Salt & Pepper, and Herbs, this dish has received a thumbs up at our breakfast table and often serves as a request for dinner when meal planning for the week ahead.
We have all experienced the last minute guest. And, this easy, go-to snack only requires four ingredients - baguette (or buy crostini's from the gourmet cheese area of your grocery store), goat cheese, fig preserves, and Calicutts' Egyptian Dukkah. Fifteen minutes or less to pull together. And, wallah! You will look like you knew they were coming all along.
