The flavor traditions of the American southwest forms the base of this classic taco blend, which we built to highlight the gentle heat of four different toasted chiles, while providing space for the heritage earthiness of Garlic, Onion, Cumin, and Oregano to come through. Additionally, we infuse peppercorn for a sharp bite, as well as Hungarian Sweet Paprika, which carries all the flavors through the blend. We recommend this blend for both meats and vegetables. And, of course, seasoning taco meat is a breeze—just use 1 tablespoon of spice to 1 pound of meat.

Spiced Chicken Fajitas

Ingredients:

  • Southwestern Taco Spice (2 tbsp)
  • Green Bell Pepper (2)
  • Red Bell Pepper (1)
  • Chicken Breasts (4 to 5)
  • Vegetable Oil (2 tbsp)
  • Onion (2)

Directions:

  1. Slice peppers/onions into quarter-inch strips. Slice chicken into half-inch strips. Place into casserole pan.
  2. Preheat oven to 400°. Sprinkle spice over chicken and vegetables, then oil. Use spoon to toss and mix.
  3. Bake uncovered for 40 minutes. Serve on tortillas with fixings.
