Our Garden Citrus blend is an homage to all of the wonderful, energetic flavors of summer. This blend contains bright citrus, balanced by fulsome, garden herbs and mellow, savory notes from high-quality Napa Valley Garlic. This blend is elegant, yet pronounced, with delicate flavor layers. Tremendously diverse in its applications, we recommend using it to bring a pop of zesty, floral taste to meats and summer vegetables.

    We begin with a base of gently toasted garlic from California's Napa Valley, whole Mustard seed, and coarse Coriander seed. Next, we blend in aromatic Rosemary and French Thyme needles to include a humble and refined earthiness, while Orange and Lemon peel provides a subtle punch of pleasant citrus.

Pan-fried Fish Filet

Ingredients:

  • Garden Citrus Spice (2 tsp)
  • Unsalted Butter (tbsp)
  • Canola Oil (tbsp)
  • Fish Filet (5 to 6 oz.)

Directions:

  1. Pat dry a fresh fish filet, such as bass, haddock, snapper, salmon, etc. Season both sides with spice.
  2. Heat a cast-iron skillet over high heat. Add oil. Once hot, place filet in pan (skin side down, if skin-on).
  3. Lower heat to medium. Cook until edges brown (approx. 3 minutes). Flip filet and add butter. Spoon butter over fish to baste until done (3 more minutes).
