A rich base of bittersweet Cocoa and Cane Sugar is infused with the freshly ground winter spices of Coriander, Cardamom, Cinnamon, Clove, and Peppercorn to create a decadent cocoa-chai hybrid with sweet overtones and notes of comforting warmth.
A quick note about our spiced cocoa: The cocoa contains actual freshly ground spices, and not artificial flavorings. Spices are not water-soluble, so they will not dissolve in any liquid. As a result, there will be small, gritty pieces of spices in your cocoa due to us using all-natural ingredients and not synthetic flavorings (found in commercial cocoa mixes) designed to dissolve readily. Many of our customers have enjoyed the grittiness of the cocoa, but for those that prefer to not have any grit in their cocoa, we recommend pouring the hot cocoa through a fine strainer/sieve or a cheesecloth to create a smoother liquid.
