Moroccan Ras el Hanout

Tastes Like:  Cumin - Cinnamon - Coriander - Cardamom

Ras el Hanout is a traditional spice blend found throughout northern Africa. In Arabic, “Ras el Hanout” translates to “head of the shop”, closely aligning with the expression “top-shelf” to denote that the mixture includes the spice maker’s best spices. Our interpretation of this heritage blend is most closely associated with Moroccan cuisine. Fifteen different spices are blended to create an intensely rich blend of spices with deeply savory, and warm, comforting notes of sweetness.

Jessica's Tips:  Ras El Hanout is the blend that always has me trying recipes that are more outside the box from our normal weekly faire.

Recipe Ideas: Spiced Turkey Meatballs, Coconut & Cauliflower
