This honey-garlic beef rice bowl beats takeout on a Tuesday — sticky, sweet-savory beef and charred cabbage piled over rice with crisp vegetables. Our Honey Garlic blend does the heavy lifting: it’s sweet, savory, and sesame in one jar, so the sauce is basically made for you. Char the cabbage and snap peas hard for smoky edges, sear the beef, and toss everything glossy in minutes.
It hits every note of a great weeknight dinner — a protein, five vegetables, and a carb — and comes together in about 40 minutes. Finish each bowl with toasted sesame seeds and a squeeze of lime to cut the sweet glaze and wake the whole thing up. Save it for the nights you’d usually order in.

Better than delivery, and it’s a real dinner: sticky honey-garlic beef with charred cabbage over rice. Our Honey Garlic blend is sweet-savory-sesame in one jar, so the sauce is basically done. Char the cabbage hard, sear the beef, toss it glossy, and pile it over rice. Finish with a squeeze of lime — the acid cuts the sweet glaze and wakes the whole bowl up.
Ingredients
1½ C Jasmine or white rice, uncooked
1¼ lb Flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain (or 1 lb ground beef)
2 Tbsp Calicutts Honey Garlic blend
2 Tbsp Neutral oil, divided
½ Small green cabbage, cut into 1-inch wedges
1 C Snap peas
1 Carrot, shaved or julienned
1 Red bell pepper, sliced
3 Scallions, sliced
2 Tbsp Soy sauce
1 Tbsp Honey
1 tsp Toasted sesame seeds
1 lime, halved
Directions
Cook the rice according to package directions.
Heat 1 Tbsp oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Char the cabbage wedges and snap peas 3–4 minutes, undisturbed, until blackened at the edges; remove and set aside.
Add the remaining oil. Sear the beef with the Honey Garlic blend, 3–4 minutes, until browned. Add the carrot and bell pepper and toss 2 minutes.
Stir in the soy sauce and honey; cook 1 minute until glossy.
Build the bowls: rice, beef and vegetables, the charred cabbage, scallions on top.
Finish with sesame seeds and a squeeze of lime over each bowl — the acid cuts the sweet glaze and wakes the whole thing up.
