Nigerian Suya

Suya is a traditional street food of kebab-style meat found in the heavily-populated African country of Nigeria. The meat is heavily seasoned with a mixture of ground peanuts, chiles, and other spices, and then skewered and cooked over an open flame. Our Suya spice blend keeps it simple and celebrates the heritage of this beloved street food, by combining toasted and ground peanuts, with the pronounced heat from Cayenne Chiles–while also making room for some savory elements with the inclusion of Garlic, Onion, and Ginger.

Use it to season meats and vegetables for an authentic showcase of Nigerian flavors.Toasted and ground Peanuts and Chiles form the base of this bold and savory spice blend. The fiery heat is transformed into one that is fruitier in nature with the inclusion of Sweet Paprika–while the addition of Garlic, Onion, and Ginger ground the blend in a mellow earthiness.
