Chinese 5-Spice Char Sui Pork

  • Chinese Five-Spice (tsp)
  • Pork Tenderloin
  • Green Onions (3)
  • Garlic Cloves (3)
  • Soy Sauce (1/4 cup)
  • Hoisin Sauce (3 tbsp)
  • Sugar (2 tbsp)


  1. Trim tenderloin of silverskin, and place into plastic bag. Break onions in half, crush garlic cloves, and add into bag along with other ingredients. Seal, and mix. Place bag into a bowl and refrigerate overnight. Remove next day and let sit for half-hour.
  2. Preheat oven to 425°. Empty bag into foil-lined dish. Roast 45 minutes to 1 hour. Rest for half-hour. Slice and enjoy on buns, in stir-fry or over ramen.
